Assessment of feasibility, as well as design of individual and multiple well boreholes for geoexchange (GHX) applications is a rapidly growing discipline in the field of hydrogeology.  The optimization of individual boreholes/well fields, assessment of cumulative impacts on the environment and sustainable performance of GHX applications resulting from concentrated development within aquifers, are new challenges that need to be addressed.  We have the expertise to practically look at smaller scale GHX issues and connections with leading academics to characterize and solve larger, more complex problems.

We do thermal conductivity testing, modeling of thermal impacts and identification of impacts to aquatic receptors.  We work with mechanical engineers who complete the above ground heat load calculations and we design the below ground heat exchanger.  For open loop systems (groundwater extraction and injection) we design and supervise construction of extraction and injection wells, as wells as prepare the required environmental reports.
